Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

• Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the ASU, ensuring that production goals and safety standards are consistently met.
• Supervise, train, and mentor plant operators and other staff, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.
• Support in the execution of plant projects, including upgrades, equipment installations, and process optimization.
• Interpret engineering drawings, such as HMB, PID’s, and PFD’s as they relate to the air separation process.
• Act as the lead member of the Quality Control Unit, responsible for training all facility personnel on QMS and process‑related procedures.

• High School Diploma or GED. Technical degree is preferred.
• 5‑7 years of experience in an operations, technical, or management role within a continuous process plant. Industrial gas industry experience preferred.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and operational best practices.
• A general understanding of and experience with instrumentation, electrical, and control systems.

• Experience with tools and equipment necessary for repairing and replacing mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment.
• Experience working independently to troubleshoot, diagnose, and solve issues with process and plant equipment.
