Machine Operator

Zekelman Industries, a leading independent steel pipe and tube manufacturer in North America, is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team in Blytheville, AR. The Role

Shift: 1st Shift – 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay: $25.78 per hour plus Production Incentive Bonus

What You’ll Do
  • Operate and monitor production machinery to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operation.
  • Perform equipment setups and changeovers for various tube, pipe mill sizes, gauges, and grades.
  • Inspect and maintain tooling and equipment to ensure proper operating condition and product quality.
  • Conduct quality checks throughout the production process, ensuring all specifications and standards are met.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment or process issues to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.
  • Assist maintenance teams with basic preventive maintenance, repairs, and equipment adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate production records and inventory documentation according to company procedures.
  • Follow all safety procedures and LOTO rules to promote a safe work environment.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized to support efficient operations and safety compliance.
Who You Are
  • 1+ year of machine operation experience, preferably in a manufacturing or tube mill environment.
  • Associate’s or Technical School Diploma preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude with ability to use measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and tape measures.
  • Basic computer proficiency to enter and retrieve work order information.
  • Strong problem‑solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Ability to work overtime and flexible hours as needed to meet production demands.
Physical Abilities
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform repetitive motions.
  • Capable of standing, walking, bending, and operating machinery for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in a steel manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and industrial equipment.
