We are seeking caring, dedicated Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming SEN primary school in Blyth. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children with a range of additional needs, helping them build confidence, develop key skills, and thrive both academically and socially.
Your responsibilities will include:- Supporting pupils with SEN in class and in small group interventions
- Assisting with the delivery of personalised learning activities
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being
- Helping create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
- Supporting pupils with communication, social, and independence skills
- Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals
- Has experience working with children, ideally within SEN or primary settings
- Is patient, empathetic, and able to build positive relationships
- Has strong communication and teamwork skills
- Is proactive, reliable, and adaptable
- Understands the importance of safeguarding and inclusion
A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or
3) is desirable but not essential for candidates with strong experience.
