Milk Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Blyth area to recruit a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term position starting immediately.

This rewarding role involves supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2
, providing structured one-to-one support for children with a range of additional needs. You will follow a clear timetable, working with different pupils during morning and afternoon sessions.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone patient, nurturing, and adaptable, who has a genuine passion for supporting children’s academic progress and emotional wellbeing.

• Provide 1:1 support for pupils across KS1 and KS2 with additional needs

• Support children with ASD, ADHD, and complex needs

• Keep pupils engaged, focused, and motivated throughout the school day

• Prepare learning resources and assist with tailored activities

• Foster a positive, structured, and nurturing learning environment

• Work collaboratively with teachers and the wider support team

• Experience supporting children with SEND (particularly Autism and complex needs)

• A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Commitment to supporting pupils’ academic and emotional development
