HVAC Senior Service Technician

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC system malfunctions and inefficiencies.
• Install new HVAC systems and components, including ductwork, wiring, and controls.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable standards, codes, and regulations.
• Provide customers with detailed reports on system conditions and suggested maintenance or repairs.
• Respond promptly to emergency repair requests and service calls.
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to complete projects efficiently.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry advancements and HVAC technologies.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines during service and repair activities.
• Use specialized tools and equipment to troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems.
• Communicate effectively with customers to explain issues and propose solutions.
• Manage inventory and order parts as needed to ensure timely repairs and installations.
• Provide training and guidance to junior technicians or apprentices when necessary.

• High school diploma or GED
• HVAC certification or diploma from an accredited trade school
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC maintenance and repair
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical diagrams
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units
• Ability to diagnose and resolve HVAC issues efficiently
• Familiarity with local HVAC codes and regulations
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Willingness to work on-call shifts and overtime as needed
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
• EPA certification for handling refrigerants
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
