Overview

The Church of the Cross is part of The Anglican Church in North America (ACNA) in the Diocese of South Carolina with a deep history dating to the early 1700s.

Our Vision is to be a community of Christ-imitators in which people are respected, loved and called to God-honoring excellence as they serve the Lord and others in His name. We are guided by and committed to this Vision and our Mission: “Rooted in the Past, Sheltering the Present, Reaching Out to the Future, Empowered by the God of the Ages.”

Our five worship services on two campuses serve on average 1,200 adults and children of all ages in varied formats each weekend across three locations. Our total membership is in excess of 2,400. We have a school, located on our larger campus, with grades from preschool through high school teaching the Gospel to over 700 students.

We are prayerfully seeking an experienced priest with a deep and abiding faith — someone who will shepherd us faithfully in the Anglican way of Word and Sacrament, lead us regularly to the table of Holy Communion, and guide us into deeper intimacy with God. We long for a pastor who listens well, knows our joys and struggles, and points us consistently to Christ.

We seek a leader who will remain with us over the long term, investing deeply in the life of this congregation and stewarding our mission with faithfulness.
