Schedule: Weekdays with On-Call Responsibilities

River Terrace Retirement Community is a premier skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility dedicated to providing exceptional care to our residents while fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment for our staff. We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team and support the delivery of high‑quality clinical care.

As the Assistant Director of Nursing
, you will work closely with the Director of Nursing to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained throughout the facility.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting in the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing policies, procedures, and clinical programs

• Supervising, mentoring, and supporting nursing staff to ensure consistent, high‑quality resident care

• Helping ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations governing skilled nursing facilities

• Participating in staff training, performance evaluations, and development initiatives

• Assisting with scheduling, staffing coordination, and daily nursing operations

• Collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to support optimal resident outcomes

• Addressing resident and family concerns in a professional and compassionate manner

• Supporting quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives

• Assisting with survey readiness and regulatory compliance efforts

Licensure:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in the state of Indiana

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a long‑term care, hospital, or similar healthcare setting preferred

• Experience working with the geriatric population strongly preferred

Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of skilled nursing regulations and best clinical practices

• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced healthcare environment
