• Unit Details: 9-bed ED (7 ED rooms, 2 trauma beds), average daily census of 25, patient ratio 1:4-5

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Indiana
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department nursing experience (3 years preferred)
• Required skills:
  
  IV starts, nursing assessments, critical care drips
• Preferred skills: ICU drips, Cerner EMR experience
• Must reside more than 50 miles from Bluffton, IN (local candidates not accepted)
• Valid driver's license and permanent home address matching

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care in the Emergency Department
• Conduct thorough nursing assessments and initiate timely interventions
• Start IVs, administer medications, and manage critical care drips
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Accurately document patient care using Cerner EMR
• Respond to emergency situations and deliver life-saving interventions
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and adhere to hospital policies
