Public Safety Security Supervisor

Overview

We are seeking a Public Safety Security Supervisor, sometimes referred to as a Healthcare Security Supervisor or Hospital Security Supervisor. The Public Safety Security Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily safety and security operations to protect patients, staff, visitors, and property. Security Supervisor's oversee security personnel on assigned shifts, ensure compliance with established safety and security policies, and assist in coordinating responses to emergencies and security incidents.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Supervise daily operations of hospital security staff, including shift assignments, training coordination, and performance feedback
• Ensure enforcement of established safety and security policies to prevent theft, violence, and unauthorized access; respond to and manage security incidents and emergencies
• Serve as a liaison with local law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency responders during incidents, drills, and investigations
• Monitor and operate hospital access control systems, surveillance cameras, and alarm systems to maintain a secure environment
• Assist with conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and compliance checks in alignment with our hospital and Joint Commission standards

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• State Guard Certification/Card required

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:

• One (1) year experience in a lead security position preferred

Facility Specific Requirements (facility may require items listed below):

• State Driver's license upon hire;
  Current DMV H6 report or Driving History Report
