Registered Nurse Telemetry

Overview

We are seeking a Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN), sometimes referred to as a Telemetry RN or Tele RN, in our telemetry units. This RN specializes in attending to patients with cardiac monitoring needs. The Tele RN will monitor and interpret patients' vital signs (heart rate, heart rhythm, respiratory rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation) and gather real-time data to support informed decisions regarding patient care, ensuring early detection of abnormalities or changes in a patient s condition.

• Assess patients  conditions, including vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and overall health status, to create individualized care plans
• Monitor patients  cardiac rhythms and vital signs using telemetry equipment, enabling remote monitoring and timely decision making
• Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient s clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies, and symptomatology
• Administer medications as prescribed by physicians, including intravenous medications, and monitor patients for adverse reactions
• Provide hands-on care to patients, including wound care, administering treatments, assisting with activities of daily living, and providing emotional support
• Educate patients and their families about conditions, medications, treatments, and self-care practices in the Telemetry Unit
• Respond quickly to changes in patient conditions and communicate concerns to the physician promptly
• Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
