Assistant Girls' Cheer Coach

Position SummaryTo help each participating student achieve a high level of skill, an appreciation for the values of discipline and sportsmanship, and an increased level of self-esteem. Assist with the Cheer program.
Essential Functions- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the rules and fundamentals of cheer.
- Provide emergency first aid.
- Maintain a conducive and safe environment.
- Maintain, issue, and provide an accurate inventory of school equipment. Model skills of the sport.
- Develop positive relations with students and parents. This includes appropriate dress, language, and demeanor.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervises students in program.

Standing, talking, hearing, walking, sitting. Occasionally push or lift up to 50 lbs of sports equipment or items normally associated with the day‑to‑day operation of the program. Directly responsible for safety, well‑being, or work output of other people.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as to read handwritten or typed material, and the ability to adjust focus.
The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff.

QualificationsExperience: Previous experience in coaching cheer preferred.
Education: Educator certification preferred. Must hold a valid Missouri teaching certificate or be eligible for a substitute teaching certificate (minimum 60 college credit hours.).
Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
