Assistant Swim Coach

Overview

The City of Blue Ash is seeking applicants to fill two Assistant Swim Coach positions within the Blue Ash Recreation Center. The Assistant Swim Coach will assist in the operations of the summer recreation swim team. The team practices at the Blue Ash Recreation Center's new, outdoor 25-meter pool and includes approximately 200-220 swimmers each summer. Competition begins early June and the last meet of the season is late July.

This is a seasonal part-time position. This position also includes contributions to the Ohio Public Employee's Retirement System; free individual membership to the Blue Ash Recreation Center with eligibility and discounts for family members; and discounts at the Blue Ash Golf Course, and Sand Trap Grill.

• Assist in the operations of the summer recreation swim team.
• Support team practices at the outdoor 25-meter pool.
• Interact with swimmers, parents, and the Head Swim Team Coach.
• Contribute to organizing and assisting with team activities through the season.

• Experience with swim coaching preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently.
• Experience developing and implementing organization and structure to a swim team.
• Experience motivating all levels of swimming ability and teaching basic and advanced stroke technique.
