Position Purpose: Cashiers play a critical customer service role by providing customers with fast, friendly, accurate, and safe service. They process checkout and/or return transactions, monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area, and seek product knowledge to assist customers and identify selling opportunities. They follow all policies to minimize shrink. A Head Cashier supports cashiers by expediting price checks, approving transactions and markdowns, and assisting with customer issues.
They also participate in training and coaching other Front End Associates. The preferred qualification for a Head Cashier is 1+ years of cashier experience.
