Responsibilities- Stabilize operations by troubleshooting and resolving issues on production machines and facility systems, from hydraulics and pneumatics to electrical and mechanical.
- Reduce unplanned downtime through disciplined preventive and predictive maintenance on plant equipment and fork trucks.
- Raise asset life by cleaning, lubricating, greasing, and oiling machinery and tools.
- Coach teammates by assisting with diagnosis of equipment malfunctions.
- Handle minor electrical work (bulbs, fuses) and light carpentry; if licensed, perform routine work on electrically powered equipment per direction from senior technicians, supervisors, and equipment manuals.
- Support building upkeep with minor plumbing fixture service and replacement.
- Protect surfaces with painting, staining, and varnishing as needed.
- Execute mold setups, removals, and storage in strict accordance with documented procedures.
- Bench test, clean, rebuild, and inspect fill guns and ejectors to ensure readiness for production.
- Conduct water treatment tasks by collecting, testing, and reporting water samples for hardness, pH, and more at multiple process stages.
- Complete job specifications, task lists, and all required documentation accurately.
- Champion safety: follow protocols including lockout/tagout, wear PPE properly, and meet Altor Solutions’ standards for safety and conduct.
- Maintain housekeeping around your workstation; assist with assigned cleaning of building and equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma/GED required; two-year degree or technical certificate preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of related maintenance experience with the ability to work independently and apply a developed trade.
- Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Experience using MRP/ERP work order systems.
- Experience with low pressure boilers, air compressors, air driers, and vacuum pumps.
- Forklift maintenance experience.
- Flexibility to work assigned shifts, overtime, and attend after-hours meetings as needed.

Physical demands- Frequently lift and carry up to 45 lbs; close vision required.
- Regularly sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk/hear.
- Frequently stand and walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop/crouch; bend or twist.
- Occasionally push, pull, and move material; work in awkward positions (e.g., under equipment, near operating machinery).
