Production Manager
True Sense Marketing is a full-service, strategic, direct response fundraising agency and direct mail marketing company. The Bloomsburg location of True Sense Marketing is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Operations Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in overseeing the daily operations of a direct mail, ensuring production targets are met by managing a team of workers, coordinating production schedules, maintaining quality standards, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise during the manufacturing process, while prioritizing safety and compliance with company regulations.
Responsibilitiesand Duties
- Lead and motivate a team of production workers, assigning tasks and providing necessary training to maintain efficiency.
- Monitor employee performance, provide feedback, and address performance issues.
- Conduct employee evaluations and identify opportunities for development.
- Develop and execute production schedules to meet delivery deadlines and production targets.
- Monitor production progress and make adjustments as needed to optimize workflow.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as materials management and quality control, to ensure smooth production flow.
- Enforce quality standards by conducting regular inspections and ensuring products meet specifications.
- Identify and address quality issues promptly, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Collaborate with quality control teams to maintain product quality.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and procedures within the production area.
- Investigate and report safety incidents, taking necessary corrective actions.
- Conduct safety training sessions for employees.
- Monitor the condition of production machinery and equipment.
- Coordinate scheduled maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions to maintenance personnel.
- Track production metrics, such as output, scrap rates, and efficiency.
- Generate reports on production performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Analyze data to identify trends and implement necessary adjustments to optimize production processes.
- Direct marketing mailing experience preferred
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and production techniques
- Knowledge of quality control procedures
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
