We are seeking a full-time Loan Processor/Closer to join our team and work on-site at our Operations Center in Bloomsburg, PA.
As part of the Loan Processing Department, this position reports to the AVP, Loan Processing Manager.
- Order, process and review appraisals.
- Prepare types correspondence memos, forms, tables and reports and utilize word processing, spreadsheets and specialized departmental equipment/software to prepare documents as appropriate.
- Process mortgage files to prepare to go to underwriting.
- Contact loan customers and insurance companies to request information.
- Work closely with Originators and Underwriters in all aspects of the loan process and closings.
- Understand and be familiar with all loan products and the documents specific to the products.
- Provide information and assist in the preparation of various loan reports, HMDA reporting, etc.
- Work closely with title agents and abstract companies to prepare closing documents.
- Verify completion of all loans being closed, have proper approvals and meet bank policy.
- Schedule closings with attorneys and settlement agencies.
- Review and update secondary market automated underwriting reports.
- Assemble files and send to PHFA; follow up on any missing documentation with PHFA.
- Place, direct and assist with internal and external telephone calls.
- Cooperate with, participate in, and promote the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety, soundness, and compliance with all regulatory requirements, including BSA training and compliance with all BSA rules and regulations as they pertain to the job position within the Bank.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent with a preference for advanced degree and/or specialized training in a business or financial field. In addition, a minimum of two (2) years experience in a banking or related position, with a working knowledge of loans and documentation is preferred.
RequirementsThe selected candidate must have the ability to use a computer with Windows and Web-based software applications including Microsoft Word and Excel. Proficient reading and math skills are required, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written). Candidates must have proficient typing skills with high attention to detail and accuracy; and a positive and professional mannerism. Preference for working knowledge of bank operating policies and procedures that impact consumer and mortgage loan document services.
WorkHours
Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
