EHS Manager

Our client, an industry leader in food manufacturing, is seeking a dedicated EHS Manager to join their team. As an EHS Manager, you will be an integral part of the Safety and Compliance Department supporting the plant operations team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to safety and environmental management, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: EHS Manager

What's the Job?

• Develop, implement, and coordinate safety and health programs at the plant and distribution center locations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations.
• Lead and manage safety teams, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Conduct safety audits, incident investigations, and hazard assessments to mitigate risks.
• Support environmental initiatives, including wastewater treatment and sustainability efforts.

What's Needed?

• Four-year college degree in occupational safety, health management, or a related field; master's degree and Certified Safety Professional certification are desirable.
• Minimum of five years of experience in health, safety, and environmental management within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in program development, safety audits, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental permits, and wastewater treatment processes.
