Customer Service Associate - Temporary (Walgreens)

Base pay range: $15.00/hr - $17.50/hr

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Register sales on assigned cash registers and provide courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
• Engage customers and patients by greeting and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Train and share customer service best practices with team members, including greeting, eye contact, courtesy, proactive help, identifying needs, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
• Recommend items for sale, trade‑up or companion items.
• Collect cash, distribute change, process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
• Maintain clean, well‑merchandised counters and shelves; take inventory and maintain records.
• Check in and price merchandise.
• Implement company asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcohol, tobacco).
• Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise; complete resets and revisions as directed.
• Assure proper food item separation and stock rotation using first‑in, first‑out.
• Use store systems and equipment.
• Provide customer service in the photo area (digital passport photo, poster printing, machine use).
• Assume web pick‑up responsibilities: monitor orders and deliver to customers at store.
• Assist exterior and interior maintenance for a clean, neat, orderly store condition.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

• Attend training and complete PPLs requested by the Manager or assigned by corporate.

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
