Overview
PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for providing exceptional guest service and quality food products to guests at Nickelodeon Universe®.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Provide exceptional guest service by greeting and conversing with guests and determining their needs.
Ensure safe handling of food and beverage products, in compliance with Minnesota Food Code.
Maintain safety and cleanliness of the work area in compliance with the Minnesota Food Code and Mall of America standards to reduce risk of foodborne illness.
Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverage products.
Maintain product knowledge of food items, ingredients, and allergens, including seasonal product.
Maintain knowledge of current sales, promotions, and discounts.
Ring and count out funds accurately and timely following established cash handling procedures.
Assist in restocking locations, as directed.
Cross train with other MOA departments on a regular basis, which could include consecutive shifts within the same week.
Regularly work independently with minimal supervision.
Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and high-volume days.
Additional duties as assigned.
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Excellent listening and verbal communication skills.
Basic math skills.
Previous food service experience preferred.
Previous guest service experience preferred
Previous point of sale and cash handling experience preferred.
Basic computer skills preferred.
Job Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the team member will frequently be required to speak and listen to guests in order to understand their needs and communicate a solution. Team member must also possess a level of hearing that will continuously allow them to be aware of their surroundings and recognize when a guest needs their attention. Specific vision abilities required by this job include frequent close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Team members are required to be able to tolerate multiple sensory stimuli at once while performing their duties. These stimuli may include: loud auditory/noise, smells/olfactory, bright lights, colors, motion, hot/cold temperatures, and other visual stimuli.
