Qualifications:

1. Applicable associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or Technical school; or five or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, blueprints, schematics, short correspondence, and memos; basic math skills, effective communication skills, working knowledge of computer systems and office equipment. Ability to diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical drive, systems.
3. Follow all safety policies and procedures throughout your performance of duties.
4. Reports all incidents in timely manner.
5. Sustain a solid level [Competent] or better performance by meeting productivity and efficiency standards.
6. Utilizing the ERP system applicable for your specific role.
7. Works well independently and within a team.
8. Ability to communicate and work with employees in a variety of environments.
9. Support the overall goals and objectives of the organization.
10. Maintains a good attendance record. 11. Works well independently and within a team.
12. Demonstrate high standards of Personal Conduct, Dependability, Versatility, Cooperation and Communication.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Observes mechanical devices in operation and diagnoses malfunctions.
2. Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
3. Makes approved modifications to machinery and equipment to meet production needs.
4. Repairs or replaces defective parts. Lubricates and cleans parts.
5. Starts devices to test their performance.
6. Sets up and operates drill press, grinder, welder, and other metalworking tools to fabricate and repair parts.
7. Effectively install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, PLC, and hydraulic issues on production equipment, conveyor systems, and facilities related equipment within the plant.
8. Keeps accurate maintenance and preventative maintenance records and ensures that all revisions to equipment and tools are properly recorded.
9. Determines equipment/parts needed for repair. Works with Supply Chain department to purchase. 10. Utilizes the CMMS module in the ERP system. 11. Keeps the shop and work area neat and orderly. 12. Ability to solve a variety of practical problems by using experience and logic. 13. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

14. Appropriately respond to chemical spill incidents involving both hazardous (ignitable, corrosive, reactive, toxic) and non-hazardous chemicals to prevent a negative impact to employee health and safety as well as the environment, including containment, cleanup, and disposal of spills. Maintenance Technicians are part of the designated Spill Response Team. 15. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
16. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to high.
