Akkodis is seeking an IT Help Desk Specialist for a client in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. The candidate selected will ideally have 1-3+ years of experience.
Job OverviewLevel 2 Desktop Support Technician Contract-to-Hire after 3 months Local MN candidates only. Role is fully on-site in Bloomington, MN for duration of contract. Upon conversion, candidates may work remotely one day per week with manager's discretion.
Pay rate: $25-28/hr W2 Conversion Salary: up to 65K
Key Responsibilities80% Help Desk Support, 10% Projects, 10% Onsite Support.
- Provide technical support via phone, email, and support portal; limited onsite may be required.
- Respond to and remediate support requests and alerts within established SLAs.
- Work with other resources and vendors to deliver effective technical support services.
- Identify, document, and troubleshoot user computing issues to resolution and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Utilize Connect Wise (PSA) and other service-specific tools to deliver support services and document time and activities.
- Update service request information with accurate documentation of all activities conducted.
- Serve as a resource for the deployment team, completing projects and other duties as assigned.
Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Technology, related field of study, or 2+ years of equivalent work experience.
- Troubleshooting Microsoft Windows Operating Systems
- Installation of applications and software
- Repairing and diagnosing hardware problems with workstations and laptops
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Spyware and virus removal
- Networking concepts (LAN, WAN, VPN, DHCP, DNS)
- Active Directory, Office 365, and Exchange Lite administration
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
Required:
CompTIA A+ (within first 90 days if not already obtained).
Preferred:
Microsoft MCSA, CompTIA N+, Server+, Security+ or similar.
- 3-5+ years of relevant IT work experience
- Experience working for an IT Managed Services organization
- Experience with HIPAA/HITECH compliance
- Experience with Electronic Health Record systems
