Senior HR Generalist

Sky Water Search Partners is partnering with a growing medical device services organization within a larger, well‑established healthcare manufacturing family on their Senior HR Generalist search. This role will provide HR support to approximately 100 Operations employees onsite in Bloomington, MN

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for employees, supervisors, and managers on employee relations, workplace concerns, policy interpretation, and HR‑related questions; proactively address issues to support a positive, compliant, and respectful work environment.
  • Coach and advise leaders at all levels on performance management, employee engagement, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and leadership effectiveness, providing practical guidance for real‑time decision‑making.
  • Lead the assessment, investigation, and resolution of complex employee relations matters, ensuring consistency, fairness, documentation, and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Build strong, credible partnerships with business leaders and HR peers to align people strategies with operational and business objectives.
  • Lead and execute HR initiatives and projects at the site and corporate levels, including process improvement and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Administer and ensure consistent application of HR policies, procedures, and practices aligned with company culture, values, and strategic goals.
  • Lead full‑cycle talent acquisition efforts, including recruiting strategy, campaigns, ATS management, interviewing, onboarding, and vendor management.
  • Support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, 30‑60‑90 day check‑ins, and ongoing employee engagement initiatives.
  • Provide talent management insights and workforce metrics to business leaders to support informed decision‑making.
  • Manage employee leaves, injury management, unemployment claims, and represent the company in related hearings as needed.
  • Support benefits administration, annual enrollment, performance management, and compensation planning processes.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of HRIS data, employee files, and employment documentation, including I‑9 compliance.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field with 5+ years of progressive HR generalist experience; manufacturing environment experience preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Proven ability to advise and influence leaders and employees across all levels, with demonstrated experience handling a broad range of employee relations matters.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities and a results‑oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
