Minnesota Urology is looking for a fulltime Healthcare Financial Counselor
The Financial Counselor serves as a liaison between the Revenue Cycle team, Clinical staff, and patients to resolve financial questions and support account billing and collections. This role helps secure financial resources, verifies insurance, manages authorizations, and assists with claims and denials to optimize reimbursement for MNU. The position will serves as the primary point of contact for patients and families regarding financial matters, including cost of treatment, insurance eligibility and benefits, expected out-of-pocket responsibilities, and available community or financial assistance resources.
Minnesota Urology is seeking a candidate that has a minimum of a High School Diploma /GED, Required 2 - 3 years of healthcare experience that includes registration, requires 6+ months of experience working with insurance benefits in healthcare setting and working directly with patient account balances, prior experience with prior authorization activities, working knowledge of both State and Federal patient billing practices and preferred experience with Athena or other EMR systems.
This position will be based in our Bloomington, MN headquarters and offers a competitive wage of $20.00 to $26.75 per hour based on the candidate's years of experience.
