Resident Assistant

Overview

Ebenezer is looking for a Resident Assistant to join our team at Nine Mile Creek in Bloomington, MN. This position provides personal care and designated health-related services to enhance and/or maintain residents' physical and emotional wellbeing.

The caregiver schedule includes:

• 72 hours every two weeks
• Part time;
  Overnight (NOC) shift:
  10:15 PM - 6:45 AM
• Includes every other weekend and holiday rotation

Nine Mile Creek Senior Living Community offers a total of 93 units:
Independent, Assisted and Memory Care. Our community is in Bloomington, Minnesota near Moir Park with Twin Cities culture and entertainment nearby. We are close to public transportation. • Assists residents with personal cares including but not limited to:
  Bathing/showering
• Foot and fingernail care
• Shaving
• Dressing
• Assistance with use of hearing aids and/or glasses
• Hair care
• Feeding
• Toileting
• Escorts
• 1-2 person transfers and use of mechanical lift
• Provides health-related services as directed:
  Assists with treatments per individualized care plan under the direction of the Registered Nurse (includes blood glucose monitoring)
• Administers medication or assists with this under the direction of the Registered Nurse (includes insulin injections). Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration under the direction of the Registered Nurse
• Performs specified home services: laundry, cleaning on shift, and delivers meal trays
• Assists with meal service in dining room
• Assists with preparing for and/or facilitating resident social and recreational activities as assigned
• Observes residents and reports status to appropriate staff
• Notifies appropriate staff of changes in physical and/or emotional conditions such as change in attitude or mood, loss of appetite, or weight change
• Serves as a mandated reporter and reports any concerns regarding potential mistreatment
• Offers pertinent observations and input
• Responds appropriately to resident and building emergencies

• Less than 1 year of previous experience
• Ability to use technology in the form of computers, handheld devices, cell phones, and fax machines
• If under 18 must be on the MN NA registry

• 1-3 years of previous experience

An individual’s pay rate within the posted range may be determined by factors such as skills, knowledge, education, experience, and market conditions. The organization prioritizes pay equity and internal equity when making offers. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical. If eligible for a sign-on bonus, the approved program at the time of offer will be honored.
