Overview

As a Life Enrichment Assistant, you’ll play an essential role in creating meaningful experiences that bring joy, connection, and purpose to the residents we serve.

Base pay range

$16.00/hr - $18.00/hr

Job Responsibilities and Duties
  • Responsible for assisting with planning, promotion, and facilitating/leading each event or program.
  • Assess residents’ recreational and social needs.
  • Support development of monthly Activity Calendar of Events.
  • Lead small, large, and one-on-one activity programs with seniors.
  • Research and recommend to Coordinator entertainment/educational speakers/church representatives, etc.
  • Support coordination of transportation needs to outside events/programs in accordance with established policies and procedures. Accompany residents on field trips as assigned.
  • Work cooperatively with assigned volunteers and direct their assignments to support the resident programming.
  • Maintain the bus interior and exterior. Report maintenance needs in timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1-year activities experience in independent retirement, assisted living, adult day services or long-term care facility serving a senior population.
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
  • Currently possess a Class C license, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Ability to use basic Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) computer programs.
  • Creativity in developing and planning activity programs.
  • Group leadership and interpersonal skills to lead one on one, small, and large group activities.
  • Able to make responsible choices and decisions, and act in a resident’s best interest.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good work ethic
  • Maintains confidentiality.
  • Able to read, write, spell, do basic math, speak, and understand English
Schedule

Monday-Friday

Hours: Typically, Monday through Friday. Weekends and evenings occasionally to meet programming needs or Special Events. The work schedule and hours may vary from week to week.
