Field Services Engineer

Base Pay Range

$80,000.00/yr - $/yr

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Controls Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on supporting advanced automated machinery. This role combines technical expertise in electrical systems, PLC programming, and mechanical troubleshooting with strong customer‑facing skills.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys travel, and is passionate about solving complex problems.

• Travel: 30–40% across the U.S. and Canada. Must be comfortable with overnight stays and occasional weekend work.

• Provide on‑site and remote technical support for automated machinery, including troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and software issues.
• Diagnose and resolve PLC‑related problems by connecting to systems and analyzing ladder logic (Allen Bradley preferred; Beckhoff experience is a plus).
• Perform installation, commissioning, and preventative maintenance on equipment at customer sites.
• Document service activities using ticketing systems and maintain accurate records of issues and resolutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify and implement product improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards during all service activities.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and represent the company professionally in all interactions.

• Essential: Strong proficiency in electrical systems
  , PLC troubleshooting, and ladder logic programming.
• Solid understanding of mechanical systems and software integration.
• Preferred: Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs (Beckhoff is a plus).
• Programming experience (C++ or similar).
• Customer‑facing experience in a technical role.
• Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience: 2+ years in a field service or automation role with significant travel responsibilities.

• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel internationally (passport required).
• Comfortable working independently and adapting to changing priorities.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
