Job Description & How to Apply Below

We’re partnering with a growing manufacturing organization in the Twin Cities to hire a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist. This is a newly created role as the company continues to expand its in-house accounting function, offering strong visibility, ownership, and long-term growth potential.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced AP professional who enjoys full-cycle responsibilities, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and brings a positive, adaptable mindset to their work.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Manage full-cycle accounts payable processing in a PO-based environment
  • Review, code, and process vendor invoices with a high degree of accuracy
  • Prepare and support weekly and monthly payment runs (check, ACH, wire)
  • Reconcile AP aging reports and vendor statements; investigate and resolve discrepancies
  • Partner with internal teams (Purchasing, Receiving, Finance) to ensure smooth payment workflows
  • Communicate directly with vendors to address billing questions and resolve issues
  • Support month-end close activities, audits, and process improvement initiatives
  • Assist leadership with projects aimed at improving efficiency and controls
What We’re Looking For
  • 3+ years of full-cycle AP experience in a PO-driven environment (manufacturing, construction, or similar preferred)
  • Strong "big picture" understanding of accounts payable processes
  • Experience working in a larger ERP system (JDE preferred; other major ERPs welcome)
  • Strong Excel skills required (pivot tables and VLOOKUPs at minimum; SUMIFs and formulas a plus)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • Exposure to job costing and/or sales & use tax is a plus
Why This Role
  • Newly created position with room to grow as the team continues to build
  • Organization known for promoting from within and investing in its people
  • Collaborative, upbeat culture seeking someone who is eager, adaptable, and engaged
  • Stable company with modern systems and a strong leadership team

If you’re looking for a role where your AP expertise will be valued and your career can grow alongside the business, this could be a great fit.
