Overview
Complies fully with all NCAA, conference, and Indiana University rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
Responsibilities- Plans, develops, and implements yearly strength and conditioning programs and ongoing instructional plans for assigned teams and individuals, ensuring that special needs and issues identified by the coaching staff are addressed.
- Develops summer manuals and testing protocols for assigned teams and individuals.
- Meets with assigned sports coaches regularly to review and discuss any and all aspects of their strength and conditioning program.
- Plans weight room schedule for assigned sports in collaboration with assigned sports coaches and in coordination with other strength and conditioning staff.
- Bachelor's degree in exercise science or related field
- Master's degree
- Some related experience working in NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletics
- Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) Upon Date of Hire
- CPR/AED Upon Date of Hire
- Standard First Aid Upon Date of Hire
- Proficient communication skills
- Maintains a high degree of professionalism
- Demonstrates time management and priority setting skills
- Demonstrates a high commitment to quality
- Possesses flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialty
This position requires both sedentary work and long durations of movement about the workspace. It requires the ability to move and transport objects and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential tasks with or without an accommodation.
