At our leading global healthcare company, the Facilities Technician supports operation, inspection, and maintenance processes for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities. Performs inspections and repairs to interior and exterior areas, including walls, flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, etc.

• Perform the repair, maintenance, restoration, and replacement of various components of the physical structure of the buildings.
• Maintain and repair locks, locking mechanisms, closers, doors, furniture, and controllers.
• Maintain and complete documentation for fire extinguishers, safety showers, eye wash stations, and other building systems.
• Maintain and repair plumbing components including toilets, urinals, lavatories, flush valves, sinks, drains, water heaters, piping, and sump pumps.
• Prepare, prime and paint building interior and exterior surfaces and perform general maintenance tasks to maintain buildings.
• General interior maintenance - hang pictures, install keyboard trays, repair office furniture systems.
• Complete special tasks including painting, locksmith work, tenant services requests, and general maintenance as assigned.
• Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested.
• Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions impacting client occupancy and operations.
• Respond to emergency situations to resolve immediate safety concerns.
• Comply with safety procedures, maintain housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize hazards and propose elimination methods.
• Comply with policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Clean HVAC coils, change filters and belts.
• Complete Hazard Assessments as necessary.
• Document work performance and materials procurement as directed.
• Help oversee the schedule execution of calibration service for all areas.
• Initiate quality events related to OOT / OOS condition of equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment or call in vendor onsite for emergency service when needed.
• Perform Vehicle Safety Inspection.
• Performs other related work as required and assigned.

• Weekend Day Shift 4/3 5AM - 5:30 PM
• Week 1:
  Thursday to Sunday
• Week 2:
  Friday to Sunday

• Completion of an applicable technical training program
• Certification for powered vehicular equipment operation (fork trucks, aerial lifts, etc.)
• Experience with building automation systems
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and controls
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs
• Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance requirements
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in general building repair, maintenance, basic plumbing, and electrical
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Ability to interpret maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and operational documents
• Physical capability to lift, carry and push tools, equipment and supplies weighing 50 pounds or more
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and environments
• Experience using power tools and equipment and driving motorized vehicles
• Problem-solving ability for routine situations with limited variables
