We are growing at 15% year-over-year and are forecasting 35% growth in the coming year, including the launch of a new design-build division. To support this growth, we are hiring a Landscaping Business Developer - Commercial to drive new commercial maintenance sales and expand existing client relationships.
This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role for a sales professional who wants to build a book of business, earn strong commissions, and grow alongside a company that delivers on what it sells.
Compensation and Benefits Snapshot- Base Salary: $55,000–$65,000
- Commission:
Performance-based, with accelerators - On-Target Earnings: $85,000–$105,000+ annually

- Strong operational infrastructure:
Director of Operations, Production Manager, Sales Manager, and Admin support already in place - New, well-branded fleet and modern facilities (warehouse built 2021, offices built 2023)
- 12-acre headquarters with prominent interstate visibility
- A company that values sales professionalism and long-term relationships—not transactional selling
- Generate $500k–$700k in new commercial maintenance contracts annually
- Grow $300k–$500k in enhancement and additional service sales within existing accounts
- Total revenue responsibility of $800k–$1.2M annually
- Manage and retain an existing $500k commercial account portfolio
Identify and close enhancement, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities
Ensure strong renewals and long-term client relationships Business Development- Proactively prospect and cold call:
- HOAs
- Property management companies
- Commercial and industrial sites
- Work provided inbound leads while independently generating new opportunities
- Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, estimating, proposing, closing, and handoff
- Work closely with operations, production, and admin teams to ensure successful execution
- Represent the company professionally in the market
- Uphold pricing discipline and margin expectations
- 3–7+ years of commercial landscape sales, business development, or account management experience
- Proven success in B2B sales with cold calling and relationship development
- Strong understanding of:
- Commercial maintenance contracts
- Enhancements and add-on services
- Horticulture, turf, and landscape services
- Experience using CRM systems (LMN experience is a plus)
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable managing a large book of business
- Professional communicator with strong follow-through
