Overview

GM and Food (General Merchandise, Closing, Fulfillment, Inbound, Food and Beverage, Food Service, Starbucks) – Part-time position at Target in Bloomington, IN. This description reflects the responsibilities and qualifications for a General Merchandise Expert involved in inbound/outbound processes, fulfillment, merchandising, and guest service.

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks and assist guests with their needs in a welcoming manner.
• Assist guests, solve their questions, and communicate solutions to ensure a positive guest experience.
• Receive products, restock shelves, organize backroom, arrange merchandise, and post promotional signage for GM areas.
• Operate power equipment if certified to move merchandise or store fixtures.
• Execute pricing changes, merchandise setup and maintenance, and inventory accuracy as directed.
• Learn how operational procedures affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability.
• Be knowledgeable about store resources, products, and services to resolve guest issues and improve the experience.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes (picking/packing orders, delivering pickup orders) while complying with adult beverage laws where applicable.
• Other duties as needed based on business needs.

• Climb ladders and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 44 pounds without assistance.
• Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays) with reliable attendance.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions, including situations like Drive-Up and carryout.
• Must be able to stay mobile for the duration of shifts (length may vary).
