• Directly responsible and accountable for the care given to assigned patients admitted with nonsurgical (medical) and surgical conditions.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in the patients’ clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
• Outstanding observation and assessment skills.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
• Skilled in recording symptoms, reactions, and progress.
• Administer medical treatments and examinations.
• Develop, plan, implement, evaluate, document, and manage nursing care.
• Direct and guide the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Medical/Surgical unit.
• Work to promote health, prevent disease, and help patients cope with illness.
• Provide health education for patients, families, and communities.

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current (preferred).
• Previous acute‑care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
