Job Details:

• Work 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts on 2E overflow unit

• Patient ratio of 5:1 during days and nights

• 2 years of nursing experience required

• Travel experience required

• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS

• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays

• 40 hours of orientation provided

• Charge nurse responsibilities may be required with training and resources

• 100% floating required within hospital or to affiliate hospitals

• Must use Cerner charting system

• Care for adult and geriatric patients with various medical surgical diagnoses

• 24-bed unit with daily census of 24 patients

• Skills include telemetry monitoring, post-surgical care, medication management, wound care, and various medical procedures

• Weekend coverage required

• Indiana license, compact, or temporary license must be in hand at start

• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)

• University must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE

• 2 supervisor references required
