Job Details:

• Work in mixed acuity unit handling ICU to PCU patient ratios

• ICU ratios of 1:2 patients, AA ratios of 1:3-4 patients (very rare)

• Available in 8-hour, 10-hour, and 12-hour shifts

• Guaranteed hours: 40 hours/week for 8-10 hour shifts, 36 hours/week for three 12-hour shifts, 48 hours/week for four 12-hour shifts

• Every other weekend required, must work 2 out of 3 major holidays

• 36-hour orientation period

• Minimum 18 months experience required

• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS; NIH preferred

• Indiana state license must be in hand prior to start date

• Floating within hospital or to affiliate hospitals required

• Scrub color: black bottoms and red top

• Free parking available

• Use Cerner charting system

• Care for cardiovascular surgery, thoracic surgery, cardiology, endocrine, and oncology patients

• Handle CABG, TAVR, SAVR, MVR, and VATS procedures

• Manage arterial lines, blood product administration, central line care, PICC line management

• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips

• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias

• Care for post-cardiac surgery patients and ventilated patients

• Previous charge experience preferred

• All private rooms with overhead lifts and telemetry monitoring
