• Monitor cardiac rhythms via direct cardiac monitors and ensure accurate documentation.
• Transcribe physician orders and verify that lab and radiology tests are ordered and completed.
• Prepare and maintain patient charts, supply orders, and other required documentation daily.
• Assist nursing staff with indirect patient care as long as primary responsibility for dysrhythmia monitoring is not compromised.
• In the ICU, provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patients under RN supervision, if an active CNA certification and competency are demonstrated.

• High School Diploma or equivalent, or related experience for all new hires.
• Current Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate, current BLS (AHA) certificate.
• Six months or more of experience as a Monitor Technician preferred.
