Personal Banker

Merchants Bank is opening a new branch in Bloomington this Spring. As a Personal Banker
, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, delivering exceptional service and tailored financial solutions.

Hours:

Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm. No Saturdays.

Full‑Time | 40 hours per week

• Process cash and non‑cash banking transactions efficiently and accurately requi­ring prod­uct‑owner customers flu‑.
• Cross‑sell products and services to meet customer financial needs and identify referral opportunities.
• Balance cash drawers daily and reconcile vault and ATM with precision.
• Actively contribute to achieving both personal and branch goals.
• Adhere to all retail and bank policies, audit, and compliance guidelines, and complete required training on time.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Record transactions by logging night/day drops, security checklist, cashier's checks, and other special services; prepare currency transaction reports.
• Reconcile cash drawers by verifying transactions, counting and packaging currency and coins, reconciling loan coupons, and turning in excess or mutilated currency.
• Comply with bank operations and security procedures by participating in all dual‑control functions.
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic, including neatness and punctuality.
• Maintain customer confidence and protect bank operations by safeguarding confidential information.
• Provide impeccable customer service and communicate professionally with all clients and colleagues; greet each customer with a friendly smile and positive attitude.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of all banking products, services, systems, and procedures.

• Experience processing cash and non‑cash banking transactions accurately.
• Strong cross‑selling skills with a focus on customer financial needs.
• Proficiency in balancing cash drawers, recon少女 vault, and ATM.
• Goal‑oriented and able to contribute to branch performance.
• Knowledge of retail and bank policies, audit, and compliance guidelines.
• Ability to perform and adapt to additional duties and responsibilities.
