Corpus Christi Catholic School is seeking a faithful, enthusiastic and dynamic Kindergarten teacher to join our team for the school year. Applicants must be in support of the mission and vision of Corpus Christi Catholic School and have a passion for working with elementary students. The ideal candidate has experience teaching Kindergarten, has a degree in elementary education, is strong in their behavior management system, and desires to work in a faith-filled environment.

Responsibilities- Recognizes and supports the mission of Corpus Christi Catholic School by speaking, acting, and instructing consistent with the teachings of the Catholic Church
- Helps build the school's faith community by demonstrated willingness to participate and plan school, religious, and service activities
- Demonstrates effective planning skills by preparing age-appropriate lessons designed to implement stated goals and objectives
- Establishes a consistent disciplinary approach which promotes self-direction and positive self-image; sets high standards for student behavior and successfully manages inappropriate behavior effectively
- Uses relevant technology to support instruction and student learning
- Creates a classroom environment that meets the needs, interests, and abilities of each student
- Conducts ongoing formal and informal assessments of student skills and differentiates instructional methods to fit individual student's needs, including students with special needs and accommodation plans.
- Develops instructional plans and organizes class time to provide a balanced program of hands‑on activities, small group instruction, and independent work
- Continues to participate in professional development by attending seminars, workshops or professional meetings
- Encourages parental involvement in students' education and ensures effective communication with students and parents
- Coordinates with other school professional staff members, especially within grade level, and participates in faculty meetings and committees

Required Qualifications- Current Professional Educators License
- Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education
- A salary range from $35,000 - $65,000 depending on years of experience
- Paid time off
- Opportunity to participate in the Catholic Diocese of Peoria retirement program 403(b)
