ALUMNI RELATIONS (UA-ALUM-IUBLA)

The IUAA activates IU's powerful global network through live and virtual events, volunteer opportunities, scholarship programs, compelling IU content, and seriously fun traditions. Additionally, the association develops and supports volunteer leadership, serves as a voice for alumni as the university evolves, and provides lifelong learning opportunities.
Department‑Specific Responsibilities- Works for the entire Programs team, floating between departments to complete projects.
- Serves on the Student Alumni Association and IU Homecoming Steering Committee.
- Assists the Programs team with market research, planning for future events, and last‑minute details and execution of events happening locally.
- Provides technology support for our Lifelong Learning team by assisting with podcast production and occasionally hosting or facilitating webinars and live‑stream classes.
- Researches IU faculty for recruitment to host IUAA programs such as Mini U and Travel.
- Benchmarks with peer institutions regarding offerings in podcasts, webinars, events, etc.
- Enrolled as an undergraduate student at Indiana University Bloomington for the academic year 2026–27.
- Professional communication experience.
- Knowledge of IU faculty.
- Familiarity with campus and IU buildings.
- Willingness to cold call.
- Ability to be organized.
- Ability to grasp basic data analysis.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Ability to balance two projects at once.
Note: This position is for the academic year 2026–2027 with the potential to extend to future semesters. Position will start in August 2026.
Compensation and Schedule
- $15.00 per hour.
- 12–15 hours per week.
- Part‑time employee (Level: Part Time, FLSA: Nonexempt, Job Family: Part Time Student Employee).
