Position: Part-Time Student Fellow, Indiana University Alumni Association Stewardship

ALUMNI RELATIONS (UA-ALUM-IUBLA)

The Indiana University Alumni Association's (IUAA) mission is to activate and support the global alumni network of more than 805,000 IU graduates – encouraging alumni to grow a lifelong connection with Indiana University and inspiring their ongoing generosity toward each other and the university.

The IUAA activates IU's powerful global network through live and virtual events, volunteer opportunities, scholarship programs, compelling IU content and seriously fun traditions. Additionally, the association develops and supports volunteer leadership, serves as a voice for alumni as the university evolves, and provides lifelong learning opportunities.

The student fellow for stewardship is part of the overall stewardship team working directly with the Director of Governance.

Department‑Specific Responsibilities
  • Serves on the Student Alumni Association and IU Homecoming Steering Committee
  • Assists in developing stewardship strategies for the Executive Council and Board
  • Staffs and helps plan the Annual stewardship event coinciding with the IUAA Past Chairs meeting and IU Day in the spring semester
  • Designs IUAA impact reporting related to the Distinguished Alumni Service Award (DASA) Club Scholarship and other scholarships as needed
  • Creates a donor recognition strategy related to the IUAA Fellows' donors and/or surviving family members
  • Develops a multi‑year donor stewardship strategy for the DeVault Alumni Center donors and other IUAA donors identified by leadership
  • Assists in documenting interactions, recognition, and written communications to donors
  • Authors 1 or more stewardship newsletters per semester, sharing information about the Student Alumni Association, stewardship, or volunteer engagement
EDUCATION Required
  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at Indiana University Bloomington for academic year 2026‑27

This position is for the academic year 2026‑2027 with the potential to extend to future semesters. Position will start in August 2026.
