Department Specific Responsibilities
- Establishing and implementing processes related to the compliance, maintenance, and integrity of graduation and degree records at the department/division, school, campus, and/or university level.
- Maintaining and analyzing data such as student records, course schedules and space, course enrollment, final grades and other course statuses, student degree requirement progress, degree conferral, diploma processing, and student transcripts.
- Providing career-focused support by facilitating the internship approval process to enable valuable internship experiences that enhance professional development and fulfill experiential learning requirements.
- Delivers essential student support by managing communications about community events, student organizations, funding opportunities, and professional development resources.
General Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing processes to ensure compliance in student enrollment, grades, registration, records, course management, and room scheduling and reporting.
- Overseeing complex processes such as grade appeals and corrections.
- Serving as a resource for academic advisors, students, and other university constituents; advising on course offerings, grading policies, transcripts, enrollment verification, and other registrar services.
- Assisting with processing of final grades, transfer credits, and advanced placement results; overseeing the creation of transcripts, certifications of enrollment and degree, diplomas, and the academic bulletin.
- Overseeing collection, creation, updates, and maintenance of student and course data; ensuring accuracy and understanding its relationships to enrollment and grading.
- Assisting with class and exam scheduling and the course registration process; coordinating class schedules among schools and colleges; adhering to university policies on meeting times, final exams, and enrollment limits.
- Performing audits and preparing reports on degree progress, grades, graduation eligibility, and degree conferral to ensure timely diploma processing and notification for students with unsatisfactory progress or related issues.
- Working collaboratively with staff across university functions (e.g., colleges and schools, bursar, admissions, financial aid/scholarships); ensuring compliance with and educating faculty and staff on FERPA and university policy related to registrar operations.
Combinations of related education and experience may be considered. Education beyond the minimum required may be substituted for work experience. Work experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted for education.
