Member Service Representative

Responsibilities
  • Develop rapport and ensure a quality member experience: greet members by name, display a caring attitude, be responsive, timely and accurate with transactions, and handle member issues with professionalism and patience.
  • Process a variety of financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing.
  • Answer member questions, research and resolve problems, and provide information on account balances, services, and products.
  • Handle cash and maintain an accurate cash drawer, following policies and procedures for balancing.
  • Use active listening skills to promote and cross‑sell credit union products and services that will benefit the member.
  • Adhere to credit union policies, procedures, and security measures to comply with regulations, protect member and Credit Union assets, and deter and detect fraudulent activity.
Qualifications
  • One or more years of customer service experience.
  • Member service focus with the ability to stay positive in interactions with members and team members.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new information and technology platforms.
  • Ability to understand and adhere to credit union policies and procedures.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
