The Contracts and Grants Team at the O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs seeks qualified applicants for a part-time Grant Associate (Post-Award).
Department-Specific Responsibilities- Provides assistance with all aspects of post-award management for existing grants and contracts
- Reconciles accounts on a monthly basis to ensure compliance with university and award specific policies and guidelines
- Monitors award and subaward expenditures for allowability and tracks cost share, effort, and salary cap
- Ensures fiscal accountability by maintaining accurate records of awards, commitments, effort allocation, and reporting deadlines
- Facilitates communication and correspondence with sponsor officers, faculty, staff, researchers, and other administrative units at IU
- Serves as the liaison with O'Neill faculty, staff, and researchers and other external agencies providing budget monitoring and forecasting
- Advises faculty and staff on IU's research, budgeting, and financial policies and procedures

EDUCATION Required- Bachelor's degree (preferably in contracting, accounting, finance, business, non-profit management, or related field)
- 1 year of experience in post-award grants management
- Highly proficient using Microsoft Excel

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule (mix between remote and in-person work), subject to change in the future based on university policy and business needs.
