This licensed plumbing professional serves university plumbing installation, maintenance and repair needs. This is a full‑time, on‑campus position. Generous benefits include health, retirement, considerable time off and access to multiple tuition scholarship programs for employees and dependents.
Responsibilities- Installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of potable water systems, safety and upkeep of the domestic water system and related fixtures.
- Installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of drainage systems; safety and upkeep of sewage drainage systems and related equipment; stormwater systems and kitchen drainage systems.
- Ensure compliance with plumbing code, conduct and report backflow and cross‑connection surveys, liaise with City of Bloomington Plumbing Inspector, assist with HVAC work orders and preventative maintenance.
- Maintain inventory, assist other trades, interact with the work order system, and participate in safety programs and training.
- High school diploma or GED.
- State of Illinois Plumbing License.
- Knowledge of potable water systems, sump pumps, mixing valves, backflow, and state plumbing code.
- Participation in the 24/7 on‑call roster and snow‑removal on‑call roster.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Physical demands: occasional lifting up to 100 lbs, frequent repetitive motions, twisting, turning, forearm rotation, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, squatting, crawling, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, balancing, reaching, carrying up to 50 lbs; daily standing, walking, traveling between buildings, lifting up to 25 lbs.

$35.97 – $40/hr, based on experience.
