Pay range for this position is $37.05 - $54.54/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is an Hourly position.
Overview
POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs nursing activities in all phases of the management of the adult patient's care. Provides care for patients and family/significant others across the life span based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and related criteria appropriate to the age of patients served. According to PICC policies/nursing care standards, functions as a member of the PICC Team to provide professional nursing care-PICC services to patients needing PICC placement.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Graduate in good standing of an accredited school of nursing
Experience:
2 years of experience in clinical nursing required, must complete bachelor degree within determined time frame upon hire.
Licenses/Certifications:
RN-Registered Nurse
Other
Licenses/Certifications:
ACLS - American Heart Association CPR/BLS - American Heart Association
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Experience:
PICC experience and/or Critical Care experience
Licensure/
Certifications:
License or eligibility for licensure in the state of Illinois Vascular Access certification
Other skills/knowledge: ACLS, BLS, PICC RN Certification, basic assessment skills, dysrhythmia recognition, good communication skills, use of aseptic and sterile techniques and procedures, ability to operate various types of equipment ranging from but not limited to: cardiac/apnea monitor, IV pumps, non-invasive blood pressure monitor and other equipment involved in the care of the patient. Must successfully complete all PICC service competencies.
