COE Director, Subrogation
Salary Range: $125,000 - $160,000
Position: Hybrid in Bloomington, IL.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Partner with Subrogation Operations Director to design, implement, and continuously improve subrogation operating models that support growth, scalability, and profitability.
- Lead enterprise-wide process improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to simplify workflows, eliminate inefficiencies, and standardize best practices.
- Drive technology enablement and adoption by partnering with Operations, IT, and Product teams to implement tools, automation, and system enhancements that improve recovery performance, efficiency, and data visibility.
- Serve as the enterprise subject matter expert on subrogation systems, regulatory requirements, and operational best practices.
- Design, govern, and evolve quality assurance frameworks and audit methodologies to support new processes, technologies, and client requirements.
- Analyze operational, audit, and performance data to identify root causes, risks, and improvement opportunities, translating insights into actionable plans.
- Enable execution of improvement initiatives by aligning training, documentation, and performance management to operational priorities.
- Lead the development of scalable training and workforce enablement programs that support process changes, technology adoption, and leadership capability.
- Own and govern SOPs, process documentation, and knowledge repositories to ensure clarity, consistency, and scalability.
- Develop and lead a high‑performing team, fostering accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Support client audits and performance discussions, ensuring quality standards align with contractual and service expectations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, contractual, and internal requirements while enabling operational flexibility and innovation.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 8+ years of claims experience, including a minimum of 2 years focused on subrogation.
- Demonstrated experience leading large, cross‑functional teams and driving performance in complex operational environments.
- Deep knowledge of subrogation processes, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices; adjuster licensure preferred.
- Proven experience overseeing training, quality assurance, and audit functions within a high‑volume or regulated environment.
- Strong familiarity with Arbitration Forums platforms (e.g., E‑Subro Hub, TRS) and related industry systems preferred.
- Advanced proficiency with business productivity tools and reporting systems, including Microsoft Office and data analytics platforms.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, organizational, and prioritization skills with the ability to balance competing priorities and drive results.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including executive, client, and operational audiences.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships, influence stakeholders, and lead through collaboration and change.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making capabilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
