Quality Technician

Tests and inspect products at various stages of production process. Evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products. May specialize in a particular area of quality control, such as incoming material inspection, set up inspection, PPAP’s, or final inspection.

• Advanced blueprint reading skills
• Ability to read and understand work instructions
• Must be able to use hand tools such as micrometers and calipers
• Ability to use optical equipment such as comparators and OASIS machine
• Must be able to use profilometers and micro heights
• Advanced computer skills
• Good working knowledge of various computer programs such as Vantage, SPC, Word and Excel
• Ability to use gages (go-no-go gages, thread gages, St. Mary’s’, Talyrond, hardness testers, microscopes, etc.)
• Basic math and reading skills
• Ability to understand visual standards
• Ability to learn and adapt to changes quickly
• Must be able to multitask
• Ability to prioritize
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to push and pull up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand 8-10 hours per shift
• Safety minded at all times
• Must be able to read and understand basic English
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers
