Responsibilities
- Participate in the improvement of the manufacturing process for existing products by conducting studies to stabilize, validate, or improve product and process capabilities.
- Perform capability studies to identify problems, provide solutions and recommendations for improvement, and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Analyze defective products and processes to determine root causes of defects and provide input on corrective/preventive actions to prevent future failures.
- Perform internal and external audits on products/processes to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Review and approve work instructions, inspection documents, change notifications, and quality alerts.
- Interact with manufacturing, suppliers, and customers to drive improvement activities and ensure product and process meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Lead quality and customer complaint root cause investigations utilizing 8D methodology to resolve quality issues and eliminate problems from re-occurrence.
- Support Engineering in the qualification of new products, processes, and equipment through data collection and analysis.
- Support the implementation of IATF quality systems standards.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Familiarity with ISO-9001 and IATF quality systems standards.
- 1+ years of experience working in manufacturing.
- Working knowledge of statistical software such as Minitab, Infinity, JMP, or equivalent systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project).
- Working knowledge of TQ tools such as Brainstorming, Flowcharting, Ishikawa Diagram Analysis, and Affinity Diagrams.
- Demonstrated knowledge of SPC, DOE, ANOVA, f & t-test analyses, and GR&R.
- Fully versed in process capability studies.
This is a Contract position based out of Bloomingdale, IL.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $42.00/hr.
