Transportation Paraprofessional - Up to $23.50/hr

Hours:

8:15 AM to 3:15 PM, Monday‑Friday.

• Assist teachers with classwork and the daily care of students with special needs
• Drive students, faculty and staff to and from community outing sites
• Follow daily outing calendar and travel between sites as needed
• Provide direct care, attend in‑services and other educational functions as required
• Keep equipment in classroom in a clean condition and provide a safe physical environment for all students
• Document all goals/programs, including the daily participation records after completion of a task with a student
• Work directly with the students one‑on‑one and in groups outlined in the IEPs
• Must successfully pass PCM (behavior management) training

• Illinois Paraprofessional Educator license is required. It can be obtained after being hired within 30 days, and we will offer a $500 bonus for obtaining it. Candidates must have at least a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job and meet its functional and environmental requirements.
• Must be able to obtain an Illinois DMV Bus Driver Licensure (Non‑CDL) within 90 days of hire.
