Job Description

Make a difference by working with individuals with profound disabilities at Marklund Day School in Geneva, IL. A full‑time Teacher Assistant / Paraprofessional position, hours 8:15 AM–3:15 PM, Monday–Friday.

Hourly rates for Life

Skills:

• $20.00–$22.50 with no bachelor’s (experience ranges 0–5+ years)
• $21.00–$23.50 with a Bachelor’s Degree (experience ranges 0–5+ years)

• Assist teachers with classwork and daily care of students with special needs.
• Provide direct care and attend in‑services and other educational functions as required.
• Keep classroom equipment clean and maintain a safe physical environment for all students.
• Document all goals/programs, including daily participation records after task completion with a student.
• Work directly one‑on‑one and in groups with students outlined in their IEPs.
• Successfully complete PCM (behavior management) training.

• Illinois Paraprofessional Educator license required (obtainable within 30 days of hire; $500 bonus offered for obtaining license).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions and meet functional & environmental requirements.
