BY WMS Technical Specialist (Performance Tuning Expert)
Work location:
Remote
We are seeking a highly technical BY WMS specialist with deep expertise in system performance tuning, optimization, and advanced troubleshooting. This role will support BY WMS systems and ensure stable, scalable, high performing warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform advanced performance tuning for BY WMS components, including database, integrations, batch jobs, and real-time services.
- Analyze system performance metrics and identify bottlenecks across application, database, and infrastructure layers.
- Lead root cause analysis for performance related issues and drive long-term remediation.
- Configure and optimize BY WMS-related modules, parameters, and system settings.
- Work closely with architecture, infrastructure, and BY technical teams to design scalable solutions.
- Support integration touchpoints and interface flows involving BY WMS.
- Participate in SIT/UAT cycles and Production deployment validations.
- Provide technical documentation, tuning guidelines, and best practices.
- 5+ years of experience with Blue Yonder WMS (BY WMS).
- Strong background in performance tuning (MS SQL Server), application profiling, and system optimization.
- Expertise in SQL, PL/SQL, and performance analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of WMS integrations, APIs, and messaging frameworks.
- Ability to analyze logs, memory usage, and system throughput.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Good hands‑on experience in Jasper Reports, Zebra Label Creation/Configuration.
- Good hands‑on experience in BY Integrator (inbound, outbound).
- Data migration experience from legacy WMS to BY WMS.
- Experience with large‑scale, high‑volume warehouse environments.
- Knowledge of Linux/Windows, MS SQL Server database performance tuning, or cloud performance tooling.
- Experience in supporting Phase I / Phase II based implementation cycles.
